(1) Building inclusive spaces - Innovative ways in the new normal:

The role of educators and facilitators is now more imperative than ever. The key responsibility area is to include every child in learning without any discrimination, to celebrate the differences among all the learners, and to promote equality and equity. Most significant in this era of the online classroom is to encourage learning. 

This theme will highlight Solutions, innovations, and new strategies of inclusive education in early and formative years. There are also some emerging questions such as - What worked during the new normal in the ECE arena? What's the latest Research/Innovation? What are views from stakeholders (parents, co-teachers, management)?

(2) Parenting in Pandemic:

​

This theme of the CCE Conference wishes to celebrate the successful parent in you. The parenting segment aims at touching the most delicate aspects of parenting - multitasking at home, job, child care, and self-management - it may not be as easy as it seems, but it's not difficult either.
It is understandable that parenting has different sets of challenges - It is about time we talk about solutions and hear some parenting success stories.  Parents are requested to send their success stories via a video. Some pointers to share the stories are as follows:

1. Discuss parenting during COVID-19
2. Do we need to have 'One-on-One' time?
3. Multitasking & managing stress while being calm
4. Keeping it positive and getting structured, everyday
5. How to keep children safe online?

(3) Alternative ways of educating Preschoolers:

​

This era of covid-19 has strongly reflected that we don't necessarily need our little ones to be in close proximity to teaching aids, books, bags, and whiteboards to learn. True learning isn't just about memorizing the alphabets or shapes. Learning is an interactive -- and lifelong -- process of analyzing, questioning, and discussing; an alternative way of learning is looking for new meanings and unique applications of knowledge in every situation. There's a big world of questions, places, and people out there: Can we now try to expose our children to as many meaningful experiences as possible? In this segment - we need to broaden our knowledge, invite ideas to alternative methods that can improve early childhood education, and cultivate the type of awareness and appreciation that can be taught via e-preschool.

(4) Tools and Technology for improved Delivery of ECE:

​

Our little millennia are crazy about technology! However, we educators must also ensure that preschoolers learn while we use current technology in this constantly-evolving world. Integrating tools and technology, when done well, not only reinforces key technical skills children need to thrive in the 21st century, but it also increases engagement and enhances learning. This theme focuses on the latest tools and technologies that aided in learning for the preschoolers and delivery of the curriculum.

(5) The Learning Environment in a new normal:

​

This new normal era witnessed overnight migration from real physical classrooms to online classrooms. While this online environment ensures learning of our little ones, but we need to remember it’s important to provide early learners with time to simply play, create, and use their imaginations. This theme will highlight different kind of learning environments which were paired with an online medium to ensure that we take care of the overall development of preschoolers. It may be as simple as enhancing they are fine motor skills by the usage of play dough or planning an activity involving preschoolers to create a weather chart by running to their home windows/backyard to see what kind of day it is.
