This is Ms. Laguve, Student of Silicon City Academy, studying in Grade 6. She is excited and happy to share her experience with educators and inspiring student leaders.
My NEP experience project with KG to Grade 2 Students has been a very good
learning experience for me because I have actually learnt that there are lot of similarities between India’s NEP 2020 and Finnish Pedagogy.
Initially I built a rapport with KG to Grade 2 students. Slowly and steadily we were making real world
connections with concepts that were taught in the class as I helped them to map their class room
activities to that of the NEP parameters and 5 Finnish learning areas. i.e., Rich World of Languages
(Linguistic Skills), Managing Daily Lives (being independent), Exploring and Interacting with my
environment (Observe, Analyse and Understanding Surrounding – Envir
onmental Education), Diverse
forms of Expressions (Cultural, Musical and Visual Expressions) and I Grow, Move and Develop
and Safety – Healthy way of Living).
Overall, I had a wonderful learning experience, as I understood that ‘to teach is to learn twice’. Thank
you team CCE Finland & Silicon City Academy for the wonderful opportunity. I am going to cherish this amazing learning experience for a long long time.
