This course is meant for Early childhood education Teachers, Teacher-students, Educators and leaders of various Early childhood educational institutes.As mentioned in the Finnish core curriculum for ECE, the core task of pre-primary education is to promote children’s favorable growth, development, and learning opportunities. It involves supporting and monitoring physical, psychological, social, cognitive and emotional development and preventing any difficulties that may arise. It is important to strengthen children’s healthy sense of self - esteem with the aid of positive learning experiences and to provide opportunities for diverse interaction with other people.
The aim of this course is to make one aware of the physical, psychological and cognitive aspects of a child’s growth and its nurturing. This course will also enable one to understand the basics of educational philosophy and pedagogy in early childhood education.
