1. What Is Family Camp?

Family camps are typically residential multi-day camp experiences for children and family members, and they can play a role in enhancing family functioning. Families can find a program length that suits their needs — from one-day sessions to week-long experiences. There are also many different activities offered at family camp, often including hiking, arts/crafts, swimming, biking, canoeing, challenge/ropes courses, and more!

 

2. Family Camp: Is It For You?

Perhaps the number one question to ask yourself and your family members are: Can we agree on the type of family camp we’ll all be equally excited to attend? Because the environment, activities and overall experience vary from camp to camp, broach the topic with your spouse and kids about what everyone would most enjoy doing together.

In search of adventure? Relaxation? A chance to meet other families with similar hobbies? Once you’ve got a good idea of your family’s interests and priorities, you can begin researching further specifics, such as location, cost, and length of stay.

One thing that most if not all family camps have in common: the “unplugged” factor. Without constant technological contact and other daily distractions, family camp can be a great opportunity to reconnect with loved ones in a fun, relaxed/active setting.

 

3. Benefits of Family Camp

Families enjoy the same benefits that kids experience at camp — unplugging from technology, enjoying healthy activities, and working on relational skills! But there are also additional benefits to the family camp experience. In camps, families reported benefits including positive impacts of the camp staff, reinforcement of good parenting, and reinforcement of good family relationships.

Many families choose a family camp as a fun and relaxing outdoor vacation experience. At camp, the meals, activities, and schedules are usually all taken care of, so families can focus on the fun stuff! And, since there are so many activities offered at camp, each family member has a safe environment to do what he or she wants. That means that if Dad is the only one excited about a sunrise hike, the rest of the family can sleep in a little and hear all about his morning adventure at the pool later.

 

4. Where do we start from?

All participants are required to come on the day of the camp at Tampere. 

 

5. Where will we be staying in Finland?

The participants shall be accommodated in a popular campsite in Tampere. 

 

6. What is the duration of this camp?

The camp shall consist of 4 nights and 5 days in Finland. Of these, 4 days shall be for various activities, sports, nature, culture, and workshops. Participants will be free to explore other places of interest nearby during free time.

 

7. Does the fee include payment for meals too?

Breakfasts, lunch, and dinners are included in the camp charges on all 4 days of staying.

 

8.What about visa processing?

CCE will send the necessary documents to the participants like invitation letters but the participants need to arrange their own visa.

 

9. What about the security for children?

The camp authorities will take due care of getting the entire team in a proper manner. CCE has a team of experts who are working with kids for the last many years and we conduct regular rigorous training for the innovation coaches and coordinators of the camp. All coaches and coordinators are appointed only after legal background checkup and with the references only.

 

10. What is the arrangement available for medical emergencies?

It is mandatory to have travel insurance for all the participants. Generic medicines and first aid box is always available.

 

11. What is the security of the campus?

The campus is in regular use for various camps and school trips it is secured from all corner.

14. What if I confirm and drop out? Will I be given a refund of the fee?

Refunds are subject to the cancellation policies of the travel agency and the hotel partners. The refund policy is as follows:   a. Less than 30 days prior to the trip - No refund under any circumstances (e.g. rejection of visa)   b. Less than 90 days but more than 30 days - 50% of the cost will be refunded 

More than 90 days to trip - 80% of the cost will be refunded.

This refund policy is applicable for the individual participant & not for the group.

 

15. What are some of the key dates?

Last date for sending the registration form and paying full delegation fee - 1 month before tour starts
Last date for sending all the documents for Visa and Ticketing - 1 month before tour starts

* Schengen Visa takes at least 30 working days. Hence, in case of delay in submitting the Visa documents, we will not be able to assure a confirmed visa.
