
Finland Summer School – Practical Information
The Finland Summer School is an intensive one-week educator immersion program that combines professional learning with cultural exploration in Helsinki.
Educators, school leaders, and education professionals from around the world participate in the program to experience the Finnish education system first-hand. Participants engage in expert-led sessions llaborative workshops, and visits to innovative learningenvironments that demonstrate how Finnish pedagogy works in practice.
The program focuses on key themes such as student wellbeing, personalised learning, formative assessment, and phenomenon-based learning. Participants can also choose specialised learning tracks to explore areas such as STEAM and innovation or early childhood education and play-based learning.
Beyond the academic sessions, participants interact with fellow educators through cultural visits, networking opportunities, and shared learning experiences across Helsinki’s inspiring public learning spaces.
The Summer School runs as a structured one-week program where all participants follow the same core learning sessions while selecting one specialisation track. Outside the learning sessions, participants connect and exchange ideas with peers from different countries in a multicultural environment.
Program Cost
The program fee depends on the registration period.
Super Saver:
€1200 – Limited seats available for early registrations.
Early Bird:
€1500 – Registrations during the early application period.
Regular Fee:
€2000 – Final registration phase.
A registration fee of €100 is required to secure the seat and will be adjusted against the total program fee.
Application Procedure

Arrival & Accommodation
Accommodation is included in the program fee and is provided in twin-shared rooms in Helsinki.
Breakfast, refreshments, and lunches during the learning sessions are included.
Participants may request single accommodation upgrades depending on availability.
The accommodation is located within convenient access to program venues and learning spaces visited during the program.
Participants are responsible for arranging their international travel to Helsinki.
Certification
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Finland Summer School Certificate issued by CCE Finland – Council for Creative Education Finland.
Language & Visas
The language of instruction for all sessions and program activities is English.
Participants from countries requiring a visa to travel to Finland are responsible for arranging their visa. Upon request, CCE Finland can provide supporting invitation documents for visa applications.

Finland Winter School – Practical Information
The Finland Winter School is a one-week immersive educator learning experience held in Helsinki during the winter season.
The program brings together educators and education professionals from around the world to explore the Finnish education system directly in the environment where its practices are implemented.
Participants engage in expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, and visits to learning environments that highlight how Finnish schools promote student wellbeing, creativity, and personalised learning.
Key topics explored during the program include formative assessment, student agency, phenomenon-based learning, and inclusive classroom practices.
Participants can also select a specialisation track aligned with their professional interests. Options include STEAM and innovation or early childhood education and play-based learning.
Alongside the academic program, participants experience Finland’s winter culture through group activities and networking opportunities, creating an international learning environment where educators exchange ideas and experiences.
