10 Cs of 21st Century!

Normally we all know the 4 C's of the 21st Century, those are

  • Creativity

  • Collaboration

  • Critical thinking

  • Communication

Are these 4 C's enough to survive in the 21st century? Do we need something more? While pondering on these 4C's I thought of 6 more C's that are equally important. Would you like to know about these 6 more C's?

Here you are,

  • C for Commitment - Success comes with commitment. If we are committed to a cause, to our career, to our studies, or whatever we do, then there is a success. Commitment is the core requirement for any kind of achievement in any field.

  • C for Consistency - Being creative doesn't help us if we are not consistent enough. Getting new ideas is easier than converting those ideas into products, businesses, or inventions. For this convertibility we need consistency. We have to be steady in our efforts. If we begin something but don't put consistent efforts toward completion then it is of no use.

  • C for Clarity - Many times we have a lot of ideas. Our brain works in many direction at the same time. It leads to confusion and to inaction. To avoid this we need to be clear about what we want to do precisely at the given time and situation. For example, I might want to paint, study and read a book at the same time. It is impossible to do everything at the same time so I need to be clear about what is possible at this moment.

  • C for Courage - When we want to do anything new, different than others. Something that no one has tried yet, something where nobody has put their skin in the game, then we need courage to do it. Let it be a career choice, a business idea or a relationship, we have to be sure and courageous to make a decision on our own.

  • C for Consciousness - Decision making is not an easy process. We need to consider a lot of factors for decision making and the decision should be made consciously. We have to be vigilant about why we want to do a certain thing. What are the conseqences? How the decision will be executed? What are the requirements to make it a successful decision? When we are conscious then 99% of the time we shall make a good decision.

  • C for Connectivity - Networking! Connecting people is the tagline for successful professional career and satisfactory social life. We have to be well connected to people from our own field as well as people from other fields to get new ideas, new career options and new opportunities. It is easier to get these things if we know people from different fields working at different levels and varied skills. It also helps us to expand our horizon of knowledge from different fields and to keep ourselves updated.

In essence, I delve into the significance of the renowned 4 C's of the 21st century—Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Communication. While recognizing their importance, I introduce 6 additional C's that I believe are equally vital: Commitment, Consistency, Clarity, Courage, Consciousness, and Connectivity. These extra attributes, in my view, are essential for navigating the complexities of the modern era and achieving success. I stress the notion that success demands not only creativity but also commitment, consistency, a clear sense of purpose, courage to explore new paths, conscious decision-making, and a well-established network of connections for continuous growth and development.
