7TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CREATIVE EDUCATION
EMBRACE CREATIVITY AMIDST COVID-19 CRISIS!

(YEAR 2020)

When we were preparing for the face-to-face symposium to be held in April 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. Everybody was panicked and confused. CCE has also received a lot of registrations and papers for the 7th Symposium. But then countries started blocking their borders and we had a very limited choice for organizing the conference. We thought that this is an unprecedented situation and we shall give hope to the people. So in collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä, we decided to host an online symposium on 21st April 2020.

It was held online and hosted by the technical team of CCE. CCE was the early entrant in the online conference area. More than 30 participants from 20 countries participated. It was FREE for the audience and received humungous response.

Structure of the conference

Considering the technical glitches and different time zones, CCE has developed a unique approach for the online conference. The conference was divided into two parts. The first part was for streaming the pre-recorded videos by the speakers according to the theme of their talk. The second part was the online live interaction with the speakers. This strategy was very successful and the conference was well received across the globe.

The videos are available on CCE's YouTube channel.

6TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CREATIVE EDUCATION TOGETHER...WE CREATE!
(YEAR 2018)

Creativity doesn’t start just anywhere; it starts with imagination. One of Walt Disney’s most famous quotes is, “If you can dream it you can do it.” How powerful is that? Every child has the ability to do whatever they want, and in technology, they are able to explore the dream even further.

In the 21st century, to unlock a child’s imagination is to provide them with the right tools and the basic building blocks of technology.

Every child has its own creative ability. Creativity is not just having the idea but it’s the process of how they express and implement that idea. Imagination is the great power we human beings have got. We could have developed ourselves from ancient ages using available technology as a driving vehicle for our ideas.

It was held on 12-16 Nov 2018 at Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland. More than 70 participants from 15 countries participated including Delegation from the Ministry of Singapore.
